BARNEYE provides an innovative IoT-based barn environment control system designed first to locate each cow and give her the cooling she needs per the real-time stress level.

Our primary goal in the system is to improve the "micro-environment" around the cows, using power and water more precisely on the animal. Then the linkage of all those "micro- environments" will coordinate on an upper level by the AI intelligent control unit in the barn and build up a "macro-environment."


So, take the fan and soak along the feed lane, for example; a "micro-environment" is considered to cover the area between two columns, which is about 6 meters long, including 3-4 soaking and one feed lane fan installed on the pillar. The soaking cycle will start only when cows come and stop immediately when cows leave. Besides, the fan on the top will also be turned off if no cow is in this area when required in one of the commercial projects of 10000 total herds of dairy in China. The Intelligent system helps the owner save 50% of water and 40% of feed lane fan power, which means a lot for many other barns facing difficult summer choices.

Regarding the "macro-environment," Barneye takes information from various sensors; you can set up your desired strategy with temperature, humidity or even THI. But this is not all; we can also take the cow location and any other digital information from 3rd parties to help generate the best real-time strategy.


For example, in one of our cooperation with Allflex, the heavy breath rate of each group as a critical parameter was taken to manage the environment and change the strategy of the overall cooling system as per the cow's natural feeling. This provides unprecedented precision and a creative way of cow cooling control.


Even though the immediate benefit is water and power saving, the long-term payback of the Barneye system is from the cow herself. Cows can be cooled immediately when she needs them with the WISE system. So, the system will provide a higher level of cow comfort.
